Sleek Design in Optional Colors and 7-day Programmability Set Friedrich’s New Premium Window Air Conditioners ApartJuly 21, 2010 // 4 Comments
San Antonio, Texas—A 127-year-old Texas company that first made furniture from the horns of longhorn cattle and later invented the prototype for the first refrigerator, has announced the launch of its most innovative products, the new Kühl and Kühl+ premium room air conditioners.
Air conditioners are not known for their aesthetic qualities, but the Kühl series sports a sleek design, most models are ENERGY STAR®-qualified and they are backed by Friedrich’s long-standing reputation for reliability.
The real game-changer for these window or through-the-wall air conditioners is the availability of interchangeable front panels in six designer colors including Satin Silver (standard), Deep Red, Cobalt Blue, Designer White, Black Onyx, Classic Beige and Pink Diamond. The panels are $49.99 each. Currently Kühl is the only U.S.-distributed room air conditioner to offer this option.
Other features of the new Kühl and Kühl+(cooling plus heating) include:
Kühl Control: An advanced 7-day programmable thermostat lets the user program up to four settings daily. The temperature can be easily adjusted using simple up and down buttons or with the wireless LCD remote. Even wire one or more units to a wall thermostat to achieve simple, centralized control.
Kühl Efficiency: Friedrich’s most advanced new product is also its most environmentally friendly and operates up to 20 percent more efficiently than competitive units. Many models meet or exceed energy-conserving guidelines. All models adhere to strict European RoHS manufacturing standards.
Kühl Quiet: Kühl has been manufactured for ultra-quiet operation. Extra-thick rubber grommets absorb vibration and reduce noise inside while steel inner walls and extra-dense insulation block outdoor noise.
Kühl Purity: This product’s advanced, dual stage carbon filtration system removes allergens, odors, ozone and other impurities from the air. Kühl achieved air filtration ratings up to MERV 6. Kühl Comfort: Kühl uses five built-in environmental sensors to more accurately monitor indoor and outdoor temperatures so that it can maintain ideal settings. Kühl+ (cooling and heating in one) models offer year-round comfort.
Kühl Construction and Testing: These new products feature high-end materials like heavy-gauge, galvanized steel, rifled copper tubing and high-tech aluminum fins. Durable components and rigorous testing involving thousands of man-hours in Friedrich’s labs, deliver products that will withstand years of punishing conditions.
