Controversial Black film to be sneak-peeked at film fest
Action-packed thriller focuses on African Americans and the voting crisis

Franklin, Pennsylvania (BlackNews.com)--Visceral Films announces the sneak-peek special screening of the controversial political action short film--"Opposition."
Written by Atticus Cain and Elwin Green of Pittsburgh, "Opposition" is the story of young urban professional John, who is seemingly, and against all odds, trying to get somewhere. Only during the final scene, do we learn where he is going, and how important--to us all--that he gets there. The film was shot in and around Pittsburgh over four days, in July of 2005. Producer-Director Scott Wohlstein, of Franklin, Pennsylvania led the cast and crew of about 110.
The film, in its Fine Cut form, will be screened at the 2006 Great Lakes Film Festival (Erie, Pennsylvania), on Friday, September 22. Those who complete a survey screening card will receive free passes to attend the world premier and DVD release party at the Lowes (Waterfront) Theater, in Pittsburgh. Comments collected from the cards will help the filmmakers fine-hone the Final Cut version of the film.
