Special attractions enhance the Summerfest experience

The World’s Largest Music Festival offers much more than music. With so many special attractions to choose from, everyday at Summerfest is a unique and unforgettable experience.

New in 2006, the Columbia St. Mary’s Cool Down Lounge with 95.7 FM and 97.3 The Brew is an air-conditioned destination that’s sure to be the "coolest" spot on the grounds! Enjoy a complimentary chair massage, listen to live acoustic music and register to win a pair of tickets to the evening Marcus Amphitheater show. Check out the Rock ’n Roll Auction showcasing merchandise from a variety of artists, presented by 95.7 FM and 97.3 The Brew. All proceeds to benefit the St. Ben’s Clinic, providing health care for the homeless and underserved.

The U.S. Cellular Connection Stage with Leinenkugel’s and 102 ONE WLUM will feature emerging alternative bands during the Emerging Artists Series from 4:30-7:30 each evening. Catch the world-famous Lizardman at the SoBe Art and Action Arena with 103.7 Kiss FM performing three shows daily June 29-July 4, skateboard and BMX demos from Four Seasons Skate Park and T.R.U.E. Skool, live painting, fun, games as well as 103.7 Kiss FM broadcasting live daily.

Check out the "Oversized" Leinenkugel’s Adirondack Chair daily, located near the entrance of the US Cellular Connection Stage with Leinenkugel’s and 102 ONE WLUM. Bring your camera or use your cell phone to take your photo on the chair daily from 6-8 p.m. Special appearance by Jake Leinenkugel on July 6 and Dick Leinenkugel on July 9, both between 6-8 p.m.

Test your musical skills on percussion, guitars, keyboards and horns at the newly designed Cascio Interstate Music Players’ Pod. Nationally recognized drummers and guitarists and local artists will conduct mini-clinics on site. Patrons may also purchase instruments played on-stage by Summerfest performers.

At the Potawatomi Bingo Roadshow you can get lucky every weekday with FREE Bingo at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Stage and Pavilion. Win fun promotional prizes, and enjoy intermission entertainment by Al White. Two sessions: 12:30-1:30 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.

Special Dates

Country Music Television will bring their cameras and production crews on-site this year. Toyota presents the CMT at Summerfest 2006 Concert series, which will take place June 30-July 2. Three one-hour concert television specials highlighting Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams, Jr. and Dierks Bentley will be produced at Summerfest and premier July 14-16 to 80 million CMT subscribers. The "CMT Top Twenty Countdown" with host Lance Smith, will also be filmed from the grounds. Summerfest and African World Festival have teamed up to produce "A Gospel Celebration," held at Summerfest on July 2 and July 9 and African World Festival on August 6. The program will feature an ongoing competition of 10 local and regional gospel choirs, all performing for $10,000 in prize money.
