Bethune Academy donates 1,000 pounds of food to Hunger Task Force
December 12, 2012 // 2 CommentsMILWAUKEE — Students, staff and families from Milwaukee Public Schools’ Mary McLeod Bethune Academy have collected close to 1,000 pounds of food for the Hunger Task Force so far this holiday season. Approximately 97% of students at Bethune come from families with income low enough to qualify for free lunch. That hasn’t stopped the community from recognizing those with even greater needs. ...
