Take a blast to the past with the Historic Mitchell Street Sun Fair

Milwaukee – After a twenty-plus year hiatus, Historic Mitchell Street BID #4 is hosting the Historic Mitchell Street Sun Fair, a revival of the historic neighborhood street festival Mitchell Street Days, beginning on Friday, June 3 at 4 p.m. on Historic Mitchell Street, between 8th and 10th streets.
Media and the public are invited at 4 p.m. on Friday, as the Mitchell Street Sun Fair kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to include attendance by distinguished Milwaukee leaders and personalities including Milwaukee Alderman Witkowiak. Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy featured entertainment, Rainbow Valley Carnival rides, games, general merchandize vendors, as well as ethnic & local cuisine vendors.
The Sun Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, boasting additional entertainment, including performances by the world-known Folklorico Mexico and the young dancers of Academia de Danza Mexico. Patrons can enjoy the Sun Fair festival until Sunday, June 5, Noon until 8 p.m.
Admission is free.
