MATC hearing

A hearing has been scheduled on a bill being pushed by suburban Milwaukee lawmakers to change the makeup of the Milwaukee Area Technical College board.

AB494 requires that at least one of the nine members of the MATC board be a resident of a county other than Milwaukee County.

Brady Corporation

Brady Corporation (BRC) recently announced that its board of directors authorized a share buyback program for up to 1 million shares of common stock.

Housing Complex

A St. Paul-based housing developer plans to buy part of a former tannery on Milwaukee’s northwest side, and build a 54-unit apartment project.

CommonBond Communities, which has developed several apartment buildings for moderate-income people, is negotiating to buy a portion of the former industrial property, at 4763 North 32nd Street.
