Tammy Baldwin challenges GOP opponents to support payroll tax extension

MILWAUKEE – Wisconsin Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Tammy Baldwin today challenged her GOP opponents to support the extension and expansion of payroll tax relief for working and middle class families in Wisconsin. This critical tax relief was defeated in the U.S. Senate last night as a result of Republican opposition.
“Republicans stand ready to let tax relief for working and middle class families die because they defend big tax giveaways to millionaires. I’ll always stand firmly with the working families of our great state, and it’s time for the Republicans in Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race to tell us if they would blindly follow their GOP leadership on this issue and put millionaires ahead of the middle class.”
