It may sound odd to hear Taye Diggs and “gangsta” in the same sentence but he surely didn’t back down when he caught an intruder trying to break into his home.

Taye Diggs discovered a burglar in his home after returning with wife from a night out at the SAG Awards. TMZ reports that the couple got home at around 11 p.m. and discovered the perpetrator trying to break in. According to law enforcement, the suspect ran away after Diggs confronted him. Reports say their was a getaway driver who helped the criminal flee the scene.

However, Diggs’ night at the SAG award was a success. The Private Practice star s took the stage withCougar Town’s Busy Phillipps to hand out the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. That award went to Claire Danes for her role on Homeland.
