Wisconsin receives the first Black South African-owned wines

Thabani Wines are the first and only Black South African-owned winery.

Thabani Wines is owned by Jabulani Ntshangase. The name "Thabani" is Nguni for "joyful."

His wines have a distinctive flavor, adding something different--a taste of ancient dynasty.

Thabani has been a positive example for Black South Africans. Many African pupils and students are making careers and getting degrees as Oenologists--a specialist in wine making or Viticulturist--use of scientific methods to improve the quality and yields of wine grape crops.

He has shown many Black South Africans what they can do by being an example in an all White-owned industry.

Even if you don’t drink wine. Know the name.
