Youngsters build confidence in martial arts tourney

With high spirits and confidence, parents and students from Sabir’s Karate and Fitness gather in celebration after competing in the 19th Annual King Classic Karate Tournament. The tournament was recently held at the Martin Luther King Center.
The young martial artists competed in several categories including katas, defenses, weapons and sparring.
Ranging in age from 4 years old and up, the youths are learning to perfect the Kempo Gojo style.
Sabir’s Karate and Fitness Dojo Arts Inc., located at 4817 West Center St., is owned by Dr. Muhammad Sabir.
